Rockpanel is part of the ROCKWOOL Group and is offering advanced stone wool based cladding material providing freedom in the design of facades as well as detailing and applications around the roof. 

This is the role

You will be responsible for developing the Rockpanel sales volume in the eastern region of The Netherlands in line with the ROCKWOOL policies and the annual country sales plan.  The main tasks and responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager are:

  • Responsible for the realization of the sales-grow objectives of the team and individual sales area, within the agreed strategy.
  • Setting up and realization of yearly planning for the realization of defined goals and create new ideas to ensure objectives.
  • Contribute to the sales development of the company through activities that are in line with the company’s objectives as set by the Management Team and Business Director. 
  • Developing, maintaining and extending meaningful commercial relationships with customers, façade builders, contractors, architects, housing associations, partner companies and distributers within the defined area.
  • Evaluate the market and support and update the Business Manager/Business Director to be able to predict the market. Communicate on activities within the sales area on regularly base through reports.
  • Keep the organization informed about research projects and signalize market trends
  • Maintain the area content of the Rock Connect database daily ensuring all contact and project data is recorded
  • Submit regular expenses and other reports in line with the requirements defined by the Management Team and de Business Director.

  • Complying all policies on Business Ethics, discount, the ROCKWOOL Way and all other relevant criteria


This is what you offer

  • A Bachelor degree, preferable with a background in the building industry
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch language, both verbal and in writing and a good command of English is preferable
  • Good knowledge of Rockpanel’s mission, organization, strategy, products, documentation and usp’s.
  • Commercial affinity and a proven ability to transmit confidence to the customers and to communicate at all levels, to gain sales orders
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent presentational skills
  • Knowledge of the building industry
