Production Planning Coordinator

The ROCKWOOL Group’s main business area is building insulation, providing thermal comfort along with fire safety and acoustical comfort for all types of buildings.


This is the role:

Reporting to the Production Planning Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for the effective coordination of production schedules and inventory control for NA facilities.
  • Prepare and coordinate in-house production line schedules.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Customer Service, Production, Traffic, Warehousing and Shipping.
  • Assist with Finished Goods inventory control through daily communication with Production and Warehousing personnel ensuring the accuracy of Finished Goods inventory records.
  • Prepare necessary analytical reports specific to Inventory/Production/Sales plans.
  • Perform such individual assignments as the Manager of Production Planning may direct.
  • Establish effective working relationships with internal and external contacts to the Supply Chain Department and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to production facilities within the US and Canada (approximately 4 trips per year

This is what your offer:

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field
  • Production Planning / Inventory Control certification an asset (CAPICS, APICS, PIC)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in production planning, inventory control and MRP
  • Teamwork
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm
  • Must be detail orientated and able to maintain high data integrity
  • Strong English written and oral communications skills
  • SAP \ RockBis (PP and MM Module experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
