As part of the change in the organizational structure of Group Sourcing & Procurement function, the future Purchasing Operations Director will help securing the intended focus on operation as well as on strategy to the benefit of OPCOs and key stakeholders with more easy access to GSP resources.

The position – responsibilities and tasks
Reporting to CPO Casper Christensen, and as member of the management team within Group Sourcing & Procurement (GSP), the future Purchasing Operations Director will be responsible for leading, developing, and inspiring the Purchasing Operations department (53 FTF), hereby the 5 Regional Procurement Managers, as well as set clear expectations and directions, assign tasks and create necessary objectives to successfully deliver a well-driven purchasing function in each region.

The position requires a profile, who can work both strategically and operationally. You will You will participate in the development of the procurement strategy, especially in the regions, and you will facilitate and secure that purchasing procedures, processes and systems are established, implemented and operated in accordance with procedures across OPCOs, including optimizing the use of digital procurement tools. As well, you will develop and direct objectives, policies, and processes regarding all of the purchasing function.

Finally, it is important that the future Purchasing Operations Director facilitates cross-functional communications to ensure alignment of planned objectives. You will act as a change agent for the Regional Purchasing Operations teams, which includes promoting the value of the transformation, that is happening in Group Sourcing & Procurement at ROCKWOOL.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate who holds a Master of Science within Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration & Economics or similar.

With extensive experience with purchasing operations or procurement, preferably from industry, you have an in-depth understanding of the value chain from operation and production, which includes experience with LEAN processes.
You have management and leadership experience of cross-border departments as well as leadership of regional teams at a distance.

You possess a natural interest engaging and communicating with stakeholders on various management levels including communication with contract persons at factories.
You have a documented track record in transformation within procurement, and you are used to act as a change agent in a large organization.

You have a nuanced cultural understanding by your experience dealing with different cultures on a global scale, you have a diplomatic approach, and you are a listener. As well, you are solution-oriented, and you feel accountable for your own delivery. Finally, you are a change agent, and you thrive in an environment where things need to be settled.
