The ROCKWOOL Group’s main business area is building insulation, providing thermal comfort along with fire safety and acoustical comfort for all types of buildings.

This is the role:

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations, TOR. Reporting to the Production Manager are 4 Production Supervisors, and a Process Specialist.  The Production Manager is responsible for execution of the daily operations, as well as a professional development of the area of responsibility including Production Department across the entire plant.  The role will contributes to a positive development of employees, methods, and machinery.  The Production Manager is also responsible for all health and safety requirements applicable in the area of responsibility, as well as ROPEX activities to continuously improve and development Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).  The position is based out of the Factory in Milton, ON.

This is what you offer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferably in Business Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5 to 7 years production management experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant.
  • Strong experience working with automated systems/conveyors.
  • Sound understanding or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong experience with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Project, Visio)
  • Excellent Leadership skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of sound employee relations

  • Able to gather relevant data and use the data to solve complicated problems.
