POSITION: Production Manager

This is the Role:

The Production Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and has Production Supervisor and Process Engineer direct reports. It is the responsibility of the Production Manager that the production is conducted as planned and according to agreed budgets, company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable legislative rules and regulations. As a member of the management team at the Byhalia factory the Manager is, like the other management team members, responsible for the overall development of the factory.

Key Result Areas:

  • Responsible for Supervisors being familiar with, and working according to, all health and safety requirements applicable in the area of responsibility, and working towards a continuous improvement of health and safety requirements.
  • Responsible for delivering quality products while maximizing process Key Performance Figures
  • Responsible for machinery and equipment operating in a safe and reliable manner at any time.
  • Responsible for employees hired within the area of responsibility being familiar with and working according to the US management system with special attention to all policies and procedures.

What you offer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferably Engineering) or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5 to 7 years production management experience, preferably in a continuous production environment
  • Sound understanding or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong experience with MS Office products
  • Excellent Leadership skills
  • Ability to coach and develop individual staff members.
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Ability to manage stressful work situations while keeping the team focused and on task
