This is who we are 
ROCKWOOL Firesafe Building Insulation is part of the ROCKWOOL Group and is offering advanced insulation systems for buildings. 

Public Affairs is part of the Sales Benelux department, which consists in total out of approximately 60 highly driven colleagues. In Roermond we now have 2 Public Affairs (PA) Managers in place and we are now in search for a third PA Manager who will focus on Belgium (90%) and Luxembourg (10%). The EU institution is not part of the scope.

This is the role 
You will influence insulation regulations and standardizations in Belgium and Luxembourg, in such a way that it benefits the ROCKWOOL Group. Your focus will be energy efficiency, durability and health & safety (regarding material) and fire safety. 

As PA Manager, your broad scope of activities and responsibilities are amongst others: 

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive understanding of the national and regional Belgian public policy environment, regulatory framework and industry landscape 
  • Proactively providing advice on industry and regulatory matters to colleagues 
  • Developing positions on policy and regulatory matters 
  • Identifying relevant engagement opportunities 
  • Represent ROCKWOOL in governments, local authorities, relevant regulatory and standards committee interest groups, trade associations, professional associations and commercial stakeholders with the aim of actively influencing them in line with our defined targets; 
  • Liaising and aligning with the Rockwool International PA team for the EU institutions in Brussels and Hedehusene (DK)
  • Investigate market trends, analyse these trends and translate them to opportunities 

 This is what you offer 

  • Relevant Bachelor or Master degree 
  • Having a thorough understanding of the PA and PR processes and dynamics 
  • Proven previous experience and network in a similar or related role e.g. Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Civil Service 
  • An excellent understanding of Belgian policy and regulatory framework 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Seniority in experience and appearance 
  • Fluent language skills, both verbal and written in English, Dutch and French
