The IT Consultant is expected to have a deep knowledge within infrastructure areas, particularly in a distributed environment, along with broad experience about servers, virtualization, applications, databases, patch management etc.

High experience with most areas within:

  • Server operating systems
  • VMWare
  • Exchange Online
  • SQL
  • SCCM
  • SAN
  • Microsoft Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams 
  • ITIL framework
  • Cloud based infrastructure services i.e. O365, Azure or AWS

You are highly self-motivated and enthusiastic, driving changes that adopt new technologies or use current technology smarter.

You are a team-player with strong analytical skills and focus on providing visible results. You show drive and can motivate your colleagues.

You have excellent English skills, spoken and written, international experience or background and have a good understanding of different cultures.

You should expect some travel activity to our sites across the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the day to day operation to ensure stable operation of all technologies 
  • Continuous monitoring of the technologies to proactively catch any issues
  • Incident and Problem analysis and resolution in accordance to set SLA  
  • Manage continual improvement initiatives within the technology area 
  •  Raise Change or Project Requests when needed 
  • Monitor capacity and ensure capacity plans are in place for the relevant technologies 
  •  Resolve events and incidents for relevant technologies and as identified via Event and Incident Management 
  •  Establish monitoring for relevant technologies 
  • Ensure a high level of availability of the technology 
  • When needed participate in task force investigations of problems via root cause analysis 
  • Secure that a disaster/recovery plan is in place for each technology area 
  •  Ensure relevant operational processes and procedures are documented and maintained for the technologies 
  •  Participate in projects 
  •  Follow guidelines and prepare documentation in all delivered solutions
  •  Customer focus in all areas at all times
