The process development department is a combination of Dutch and German engineers located in Gladbeck and Roermond, which are responsible for the realisation of process development tasks, services and projects in the 4 factories within RW-CWE. The main focus is on the basic stone wool production process and related sub processes. The projects mainly result in improved of energy consumption and environmental impact. This Process Engineer will be located in the Roermond factory, but will also, part of his time, be active in the German production plants. The Process Engineer will report to the Manager Process Development, Environment & Energy Efficiency.

Main activities:

  • Manage or be part of projects in process areas which result in cost improvements, quality improvement, reduction of energy and emissions;
  • Initiate, realise and accompany test productions resulting out of projects;
  • Judge, analyse and report results;
  • Manage and report progress and planning;
  • Tuning of process, quality and environment performance, in relation to cost with all relevant stakeholders;
  • Cooperate with local and international colleagues;
  • Maintain contacts with Rockwool International and knowledge centres in specific areas. Follow up on specific areas;
  • Create and maintain an internal and external network.

Your profile

  • Bachelor degree in the field of Process engineering, Process technology or comparable;
  • Knowledge and experience in project management in an industrial environment;
  • Taking initiatives for new ideas and developments; Persistent in getting the results;
  • Affinity with process control systems is appreciated;
  • An open-minded character and a hands-on mentality while being on the shop-floor.
  • Knowledge and experience with analytical tools;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch (speaking&writing) and German (speaking).
