Business Controller

Our purpose is simple and compelling: To release the natural power of stone to enrich modern living.

ROCKWOOL products save energy and water and reduce CO2 emissions, protect buildings from the spread of fire; reduce waste; improve acoustic comfort, building performance and aesthetics; and enhance Precision Growing, thereby improving the efficiency of fresh food production.

While the stone we use may be millions of years old, what we do with it is cutting-edge. Every day, ROCKWOOL colleagues are developing and applying new technologies to release yet more potential of stone wool to enrich modern life.

Would you also be proud to enrich society like we do? Apply now to join us as we improve modern living conditions for millions of people worldwide.

Are you ready to take on the controlling and performance analysis responsibility for several markets? If so, we offer you a controller position with direct involvement with the business across commercial functions and countries.

This is who we are

When joining our experienced Rockfon Business Controlling team you will become part of an exciting international working environment supporting markets in more than 20 countries.

You will have a great opportunity to influence your job and carrier opportunities as well as the success of Rockfon within the areas of responsibility.  Cooperation with Sales and Marketing and other ROCKWOOL Brands and group functions are crucial to the success of Rockfon and you will be able to join cross functional teams to help set the agenda for future growth.

This is the role

As a Business Controller, you will be responsible for analysing and controlling the performance and effects of business decisions.  You will work closely together with Commercial teams in the local markets as well as your colleagues in the Rockfon Business Controlling team and occasionally with peers in ROCKWOOL.

Amongst your responsibilities are:

  • Carrying out various reporting and analysis that support business optimisation, e.g. performance management
  • Supporting and initiating analysis and processes that ensure a stable financial control, including highlighting risks
  • Driving budget, forecasts and monthly reporting for selected markets and ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Supporting setting the strategy and securing the realization
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations and group policies
  • Maintaining a close and constructive working relationship with our Shared Service Centre, who handles our basic accounting responsibilities

You should expect 30-40 travel days a year to gain insight into our markets and collaborate with local management

This is what you offer
You thrive solving “How come?” and “What if?” challenges, and you cannot wait to impress us with your analytical skills.  You see the full picture, however at the same time, you can dig into the necessary details. Prioritising and planning your work to meet deadlines comes naturally to you, and you are ready to pick up on becoming our new BI/BW superuser.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Hold a business degree in finance, accounting or economics
  • Bring minimum a couple of years of experience as a business analyst, business controller, junior consultant or junior auditor – ideally from an international company
  • Effortlessly collaborate and interact with colleagues in English across all organisational levels
  • Preferably, are proficient in Excel and BI and BW tools as well as ERP – we use SAP
  • Are eager to make a difference and further improving your business controlling skills

We look forward to welcoming you in our international team where our culture is informal, our tone is open and direct – but always humorous.
