This is who we are
Group Technology (GT) is a collection of dynamic engineering departments responsible for delivering world-class ROCKWOOL production facilities and equipment to our many international factories. Group Technology is ROCKWOOLs central engineering function, consisting of close to 200 people within project management, administrating functions, technical- and process specialist areas.

What we do is truly unique – creating sustainable insulation material out of stone. To do this, we develop and create our own custom production equipment and solutions. 
As a part of Group Technology in Hedehusene, you will join project managers, mechanical specialists and fellow engineers in charge of in-house design and commissioning of world class production equipment and factories. Together, we provide the most competitive and flexible production platform in the industry. 

This is what we are looking for
GT is currently looking for an MES Automation Specialist to work on our international assignments and projects. The department’s responsibility is to deliver Electrical installation and Automation- and control systems for ROCKWOOLs production facilities. As our new MES Automation Specialist you should be experienced with PLC and SCADA systems and be skilled within high level programming and databases. Further you should have broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and production efficiency (Process Key figures). 

This is the role
As MES Automation Specialist in GT you will be a part of our MES team with 5 team members in a department of more than 20 Electrical and Automation engineers, responsible for development, maintenance and support within ROCKWOOLs Manufacturing Execution System: RockFact. Further you will be assigned to projects, being responsible for delivery of control systems for our production equipment.

Your assignments can vary from small machine deliveries and support cases to participation in large "Green field" factory projects on a global scale – mainly in Europe, Asia and North America.
You should expect up to around 80 travel days per year.

As a MES Automation Specialist we expect you to have:

  • IT Programming skills (C# and SQL).
  • PLC/SCADA Automation software knowledge (Siemens S7 and WinCC).
  • Skills within problem solving and analysis. 
  • The ability to secure high standard in your deliveries. 
  • An eye for both quality and result orientation. 
  • A natural sense of team play, and to be ready to work independently as well as in project teams. 
  • Communication skills where you communicate in an efficient manner towards your internal customers in the ROCKWOOL subsidiaries, and to your nearest superior and colleagues. 
  • Proficient English skills in writing and verbally -  additional language skills are an advantage
