Learning and Development Specialist

ROCKWOOL are seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to join their HR team. This is a full time, permanent vacancy based in the UK head office, Pencoed. The scope of this role includes:

  • Regional L&D process owner for RW-UK, responsible for the implementation of the regional learning & development agenda
  • To ensure a high level of learning and development initiatives to develop our employees to continuously increase the performance of the business
  • Continuous improvement, development and strengthening of the learning and development process
  • Ensure the L&D process enhances the competency and skills required to grow the businesses in the region
  • End-to end delivery of L&D programs for the region, including working with providers, scheduling training, communication with HR, managers and program participants and managing program logistics
  • Consolidate L&D budget based on OPCO analysis
  • Support the business in the implementation of existing learning concepts and optimising these according to needs

This is the role:

  • Coach, guide, support and challenge stakeholders (OPCO HR and managers) on all relevant L&D needs
  • Support Group Process Owner of L&D in the development of in house programs
  • Identify common learning needs and actions to address those needs
  • Contribute to the yearly cycle with specific processes and projects in cooperation with relevant stakeholders in region and group
  • Deliver and facilitate development activities
  • Promote the 70-20-10 L&D approach to employee competency development
  • Together with Group HR develop the on boarding program
  • Responsible for compliance with Global HR processes, Group HR Policies and principles.  Timely and qualitatively implement those in a region; support OPCO HR to break strategy into L&D KPIs and deliverable
  • Provide instant feedback to Group HR on regional L&D trends, limitations, possible solutions and courses of action
  • Learning platform: Contribute to and promote the Group learning platform
  • Stakeholder management: ensures there is a positive internal and external working relationship within the GPO L&D, OPCO HR, other internal and external trainers
  • Engages actively in Global HR community by sharing knowledge, experience and participating in relevant work groups
  • Manage a recording system of learning activities

  • Degree level education
  • 2+ years’ in L&D positions.
  • Successful track record of designing, building and evaluating L&D agenda
  • Proven ability in facilitating, training and coaching
  • Experience in a variety of L&D tools and approaches
  • Knowledge and experience with 70-20-10 learning approach
  • Proactive, result and future oriented, strong communication skills, unbiased, acts independent, but also team-player with impact, ability to influence stakeholders without hierarchical power
  • Advanced competence with MS Office and other IT software/databases
