Lapinus is part of the ROCKWOOL Group and is offering advanced engineered stone wool solutions for applications such as friction, water management, tracks, coatings, gaskets and fences.

For our office in Roermond, we are looking for a Customer Service Employee. You will report to the Lapinus Manager Supply Chain & Operations and will be part of a team with 4 other Customer Service colleagues.

This is the role
As a Customer Service Employee, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of orders in the commercial, financial, logistic, administrative and after sales area. De customers of Lapinus are located worldwide. This implicates that the Customer Service Employee must act/think from an international context. In this position, you are mainly in touch with customers via e-mail and phone.

The main responsibilities of this challenging, international position are:

  • Providing world class service to our customers and building up a close relationship with these customers and other stakeholders;
  • Ensuring optimal customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order entry, closely monitoring the order fulfilment process, securing the agreed delivery service to our customers and check export documents (B/L’s);
  • Work with factories in multiple international locations (mainly Denmark and Poland);
  • Processing of purchase orders for the warehouses in the USA and CHina, goods receipt and ensure billing;
  • Advice customers to optimize their orders, which could also be beneficial for operations;
  • Identify savings opportunities within the Customer Service processes leading to more efficiency;
  • Processing of orders in accordance with internal procedures (ISO);
  • Performing regular customer services tasks like complaint handling, registration and follow-up;
  • Team-up with sales to follow up on leads / proactivily search for potential projects;
  • First point of contact for Rockflow customers / contractors and adapt the daily planning.

This is what you offer

  • MBO+ / HBO (bachelor) degree;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in relevant customer services functions (export or logistics);
  • Experience with SAP and CRM systems like Microsoft Dynamics;
  • Good knowledge of MS office, specifically Excel;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and written. Knowledge of the German and/or French language is a plus;
  • You are customer oriented, a team player that works independently as well, have good problem solving skills, proven commercial abilities and affinity, can work well under pressure, have a strong (proactive) personality and show initiative to improve the efficiency of the department.
