ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation (RW-TI) is the worldwide market leader in technical insulation. We are an independent organization within the global ROCKWOOL Group. With our two product lines, ProRox and SeaRox, we cover the whole industrial and marine & offshore market, providing a full range of products and systems for thermal and firesafe insulation of technical applications.

For our Benelux region (main scope Belgium and Luxemburg), we are in search of an experienced sales manager to generate RW-TI sales through developing and maintaining relationships with owners, specifiers, contractors and distributors within the RW-TI remit.

Your role is to exploit all sales opportunities within the regional area and implement area and team plans to deliver budgeted figures.

Even though Wijnegem is your primary work location it is most likely expected that you will work from home frequently due to your geographical responsibility and work area.

This is the role

As Regional Sales Manager you will maintain relationships with internal and external contacts and quickly establish and maintain effective networks with internal and external stakeholders in Belgium towards specific target groups.

Your primary key responsibilities will also include:

  • Identify potential customers and projects by use of self-collected market information and of colleagues, setting up a structured system of customer analysis, consultancy and projects, based on RW-TI sales process;
  • Build customer relations and gain a position in the network of the parties involved in the whole value chain to influence the choice for RW-TI and our products in a positive way;
  • Analyse specific problems, make calculations and set up advice for more complex technical problems in the market in own area of expertise;
  • Inform about new and existing products and applications and identify market needs.
  • Check technical drawings on the aspect of stone wool applications and acquire general knowledge on all segments;
  • Register activities in CRM and set up action plans and specific campaigns for RW-TI products and systems.

The position is currently being staffed by our colleague with over 30 years of ROCKWOOL/RW-TI technical sales experience and after an impressive career path within our organisation he will be leaving the RW-TI family in 2020 to enjoy his well-deserved pension. Before this, he will be more than happy to handover all his knowledge and experience to our new Regional Sales Manager – which we hope to find before the end of this year.

In addition, you are a brilliant team player characterised by an open and honest attitude and a willingness to share knowledge with your colleagues. You eminently prioritise your work to deliver in time and on budget – without compromising on the quality. Lastly, you have:

  • Bachelor degree in Technical Engineering or a business related degree;
  • At least 5 years of experience from technical selling, preferably in the Oil, Gas and Process industry. This includes acute understanding of industrial insulation methods and current affairs;
  • A fluent (written and spoken) understanding of the English, Dutch ánd French language
  • A proven track record as a successful technical sales professional;
  • Project management experience.
