POSITION: LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Rockfon is part of the ROCKWOOL Group and is offering advanced acoustic ceilings and wall solutions to create beautiful, comfortable spaces.

This is the role:

The Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the  Distribution Manager and is based out of Byhalia,  MS. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing process support in achieving key performance indicators for all logistics activities, including shipping, receiving and inventory management.  The Logistics Coordinator may have one or multiple areas of specialization, but will support all logistics functions as needed.

Key Result Areas

  • On time shipping, measured by percentage of shipments departing facility on promised date
  • Shipping accuracy, measured by percentage of shipping errors as a total of shipment lines
  • Inventory accuracy, measured by percentage of accurate cycle counts
  • Shipping efficiency, measured by pounds shipped per man hour worked
  • Inventory integrity, measured by dollar amount of written off material due to damage

This is what you offer:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years warehouse experience using warehouse management software
  • Functional knowledge of SAP Logistics Execution and Warehouse Management modules
  • Ability to deliver clear and informative written and oral communication
  • Ability to be certified in the operation of powered industrial lift trucks
  • Infrequently lift up to 50 lbs
  • Associates degree or higher in relevant discipline, e.g. logistics, business administration
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations; eg. APICS, wtc.
