POSITION: WAREHOUSE LEAD  

Rockfon is part of the ROCKWOOL Group and is offering advanced acoustic ceilings and wall solutions to create beautiful, comfortable spaces.

This is the role:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating the daily operations within the shipping department. You will also maintain organization of product in the warehouse, coordinating workflow, education and training of staff related to warehouse process and best practices. You will assist and Back up Shipping Supervisor and Logistics Coordinator as needed.

 Key Result Areas

  • Maintain an organized, accurate inventory by keeping the warehouse clean, and product properly placed and accounted for in the warehouse management program.
  • Maintaining efficient flow of inbound material by processing and placement of product coming in via the manufacturing area, vendor deliveries, returns and receiving from other internal warehouse locations.
  • Back up the Logistics Coordinator and department Supervisor as needed.
  • Open or Close Department as requested.
  • Provide assistance and input to Senior Distribution Center Manager as requested.
  • Provide input to development of department procedures and policies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Licensed Forklift Operator
  • Strong People Skills
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • High School Graduate
  • Good computer skills related to Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes
  • Demonstrated experience with Main Frame host systems such as PRMS and SAP
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Previous experience in related field such as warehousing, shipping and receiving
