Are you ready to lead Rockfon’s sustainability efforts and be the driving force to increase Rockfon’s sustainability image, recycling schemes and adjust norms and standards? We are currently looking for a dedicated professional who is comfortable working in commercial business as well as technical committees.

This is the role
Your objective is to strengthen the sustainability profile of Rockfon by continually developing our sustainability, recycling & take-back schemes together with Rockwool Group departments, representing Rockfon in public affairs, partnering with firms to drive the acoustics norms & standards in Europe.

Your overall responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of activities aimed at achieving Rockfon’s short and long term sustainability goals
  • Plan, organize and direct sustainability related projects from the ideation stage through implementation and execution stage, together with Rockwool Group teams
  • Connect with other industry experts to identify and implement improvements to our take back schemes in Europe
  • Convert the Rockfon lobby strategy into clear and tactical instructions for our representatives within National Standardization bodies and advice their voting patterns
  • Work directly with customers and commercial teams to capture and support project requirements (regulatory, qualification, certifications, approvals, timing, etc.)
  • Teach and educate internal and external stakeholders about the importance of sustainability, Rockfon’s initiatives and capabilities as well as what actions can be taken by individual stakeholder to participate in the circular economy
  • Liaise with communications to develop content promoting Rockfon’s sustainable strategies, product offerings and achievements
  • Represent Rockfon as a thought leader on sustainability at conferences and industry boards
  • Stay up to date with the trends, regulatory matters, customer requirements and competitor trends

You will report directly to the Rockfon Marketing Director and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders in the industry.

This is what you offer
Preferably you have an environmental and/or technical degree, with strong insight into building materials. This is topped with a strong commercial understanding and ideally you have experience from driving the sustainability and public affairs for a similar size business. Experience within acoustics is an advantage, but not prerequisite - as long as you are willing to learn. Full proficiency in English and strong communication skills are a must. You should expect up to 40 travel days a year.
