This is the Role:

The Plant Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for cost effective manufacturing of grid / Metal Ceilings products consistent with required quality standards, safe work practices, effective housekeeping and maintaining compliance with personnel policies. The position will plan and schedule production, and assign tasks to all Operators, Production Lead Persons and Set-up, monitor production and drive the continuous improvement process to improve operating efficiency and product quality.

Key Result Areas

  • Provide leadership and direction for the activities of the assigned Operations group to safely achieve production goals within cost standards.
  • Coordinate production to meet customer demands ensuring that products are made safely, have high quality and are delivered on time.
  • Provide an accident free workplace; maintain a safe work environment and ensure behavioral safety initiatives are completed

This is what you offer:

  • At least 3 years manufacturing experience working in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Knowledge, understanding and implementation of process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and successfully execute tasks in accordance with business objectives
  • Proven incident investigation skills and familiarity with structured tools (RCF and 5 Why)
  • Basic knowledge of key OSHA regulations
  • 4-year degree is highly preferred. Degree in business, engineering or logistics a plus
  • Able to troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems, make plan to utilize in-house or outside resources to rectify problem.
  • SAP experience
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing
