POSITION: Technical Operator

The ROCKWOOL Group’s main business area is building insulation, providing thermal comfort along with fire safety and acoustical comfort for all types of buildings.

This is the Role:

The Technical Operator will report directly to the Production Supervisor and will be based out of the Factory in Byhalia, MS. In your role, you will operate equipment in an effective and efficient manner, to produce quality mineral fibre ceiling tile products within the Company’s parameters of quality, material efficiency, and time efficiency. You will also maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace without jeopardizing product quality or the environment.

This is what you offer:

  • High school diploma or equivalent Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) minimum score of silver on CRT (Career Readiness Test)
  • Experience in machine set-up and computers
  • Must have a good understanding in how equipment operates in order to clear equipment safely
  • Good understanding of H+S requirements and ability to work in a safe manner
  • Understanding of key figures and how to maximize the output
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience trouble shooting equipment
  • Experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • The ability to read and understand written instructions and product specifications
  • Practical knowledge in a continuous flow automated manufacturing
  • Successful candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical fitness assessment and Career Readiness Test (CRC)
