The ROCKWOOL Group’s main business area is building insulation, providing thermal comfort along with fire safety and acoustical comfort for all types of buildings.

This is the Role:

The Key Account Manager reports directly to the Regional, Ontario Manager and supervises a team of Territory Managers (TM). The position is ideally based out of the GTA region.

The Purpose of the Job:

  • Drive achievement of Retail (Home Depot, Lowe’s & Rona H&G) POS goals for the assigned market area by providing supervision and leadership to a team of Territory Managers.
  • Develop relationships with Buyers and/or Merchandisers at their Head Offices through the Retail chains to continue support and drive sales efforts.
  • Manage an assigned local territory of retail big box accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all levels of retail store and field management.
  • Represent the Company in accordance with its policies and core values.
  • Drive and grow the ROCKWOOL brand on a daily basis.
  • Education of retail store management, staff, contractors, and general public about ROCKWOOL products.

  • Four year college/university degree required.
  • Experience working within the big box retail environment.
  • Experience supervising a team.
  • Experience with Home Depot and Lowe’s an asset.
  • High drive, commitment, energy and integrity.
  • Basic knowledge of residential building, renovation and insulation markets.
  • Knowledge of retail business environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Position requires frequent travel throughout specified Territory, including overnight stays within North America (approximately 60% travel)
  • Solid communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Solid computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
